James Dillard Ferguson, 90, of Independence, MS, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Ferguson and a daughter, Linda Ferguson Wren. Mr. Ferguson is survived by a son, James Michael Ferguson, Sr. of Independence, MS; three daughters, Sue Ferguson McCully of Memphis, Cheryl Ferguson Russell of Tulsa, OK and Lisa Ferguson Stull of Senatobia, MS; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 11a.m. at Independence United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 9:30. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family prefers memorial gifts be made to Independence United Methodist Church.
