James E. Inman, Jr., 87, of Hernando, MS went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2026. J.E. was born on September 5, 1938, in Hardy, MS to the late James E. Inman, Sr. and Ruth Esther Tilghman Inman. He served our country in the United States Navy and Coast Guard. He worked for many years as a forklift mechanic. He will be remembered for his loving and caring spirit. He was also known to be a little bit of a jokester at times. One of his greatest joys in life was being “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren. J.E. was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Outpouring Church in Olive Branch. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Alan Inman; and four siblings: Lee Inman, Billy Inman, Andy Inman, and Anne Landon. He is survived be his wife of 64 years, Martha Jean Kendall Inman; daughter, Debbie Shelby (Terry); son, Dwayne Inman (Carolyn); daughter, Tammy Clements (Rick); grandchildren: Melissa Miller (David), T.J. Shelby (Anna), Kristin Smith, Codi Parks (Nick), Harley Clements (Hannah), Clint Nations (Brittany), Emily Rogers (Shawn), Jessica Bougatfa (Sabri), Hayden Clements (Abby), and Kaitlyn Edlin (Jackson); great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Dawson, Krislynn, Lilly, Paisley, Ireland, Piper, Hunter, Everlee, Genesis, Bentley, Kourtlyn, Emma, Maverick, Brooklyn, Boone, and Jeremiah; and two brothers, John Inman (Connie) and Bud Inman. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Outpouring Church on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Paul Cemetery in Cascilla, MS.
