James Robert Scruggs, 89, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. Mr. Scruggs was a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from McLean Trucking Company and was a former member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and his wife, Rebecca Scruggs. Mr. Scruggs is survived by three sisters and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 9:30am - 10:30am with the funeral service to immediately follow at 10:30am, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch. Interment will follow in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
