Jesse Wayne Lightsey

Wayne was the Rock of his family. He was strong, wise, honorable, respectfully, loyal, and always patient. He lived with a purpose to take care and love his family with everything in him. Until his last breath and even beyond he made sure his family would be ok.

Wayne was blessed to find and marry the love of his life Vickie Lightsey on September 30, 1977. They lived a life of love, laughter, and balanced each other’s character perfectly. The love they shared for so many years had to be God given.

Wayne instilled values and morals in his family that leaves a legacy for generations. There are no words to describe how he felt about his grandchildren. The light of his life and he was so proud of each one of them every day. He was also the kind of man that still had the same best friend since the sixth grade.

Wayne is now with his wife (Vickie), his mother (Ollie), his father (Jessie), and his sister (Linda) whom he missed so dearly.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving family but will live on in our hearts and memories. Son: Todd Victory, Daughter: Tonya Keiran, Grandchildren: Brittnye Hamblin, Dalton Duncan (Hanna), Cheyanne Duncan (John), Alexa Chapman (Cody). Great Grandchildren: Natalye, Jacyn, Jordan, Dean, and Isabel. And his sweet Sissy(pet).
