Jessica Jean Cockrell, 31, of Hernando, MS passed away on September 4, 2026. Jessica was born on January 25, 1995, in Memphis, TN. She is a 2013 graduate of Independence High School. Jessica loved animals and enjoyed her work as a pet groomer. She was also known as a free spirit and had a heart for people. She enjoyed music and dancing. Jessica was also a huge fan of the Star Wars movies. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Shackleford; and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Judy Williams. Jessica is survived by her husband, Joshua Cockrell; children: Alex Cockrell, Levi Cockrell, Koda Cockrell, and Lou Cockrell; mother, Janet Williams; father, Michael Williams; sister, Rebecca Wiley (Cody); brother, John-Michael Williams (Cheyenne); nieces, Myana and Freya Wiley; uncles, Craig Shackleford (Retta) and Joe Shackleford; and her great-grandmother, Norma Shackleford. A celebration of life for Jessica will be held at a later date.
