Joan Grisham Wingo

Joan Grisham Wingo, 87, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Mrs. Wingo was preceded in death by her husband, Terry C. Wingo; parents, Willard Robert Grisham, Sr. and Mauveline Nanney Grisham; brother, Willard Robert “Bud” Grisham, Jr.; brother, James E. “Jimmy” Grisham; and sister, Mary Ruth Prather. She is survived by her son, Greg Wingo(Donna); son, Rick Wingo(Kim); grandchildren: Samantha Wingo, Stephanie Wingo, Sarah Wingo, Aubrey Wingo; and Megan Wingo; great-grandson, Dixon T. Bunch; brother, Bobby E. Grisham; and sister, Doris Faye Lee. Mrs. Wingo was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. She spent her life dedicated to taking care of her family and they were her greatest joy in life. She especially loved being “Mamaw” to her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed gospel music, cooking, baking, watching redbirds and hummingbirds, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and North Carolina Tar Heels basketball. The family receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9-10 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
