JoAnn Gitter Dunlap

JoAnn Gitter Dunlap, 71, of Nesbit, MS passed away on June 12, 2020 in Southaven, MS. She was born on October 6, 1948 in Hernando, MS to the late Bernice Gitter and Geneva Smith Gitter. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Sisk Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory; husband of 37 years, Rickey Dunlap Sr.; Three daughters, Stephanie Sisk, Christy Dunlap, and Teresa Carter (George); Son; Rickey Dunlap Jr.(Beckie); and one brother; Bill "Junior" Gitter. She also leaves behind her nine loving grandchildren; Jessica, Dakota, Dalton, Makena, Jamarcus, Johnnie, Zoie, Zander, and Cole. As well as, Nine great grandchildren. Also, the family would like to include her sister of many years, Eva Woods and Gerald "Chubby" Cannon who was like a son to her.

She grew up and lived in Olive Branch, MS for most of her life. She was well known and loved by many and was often called “Mama Jo” or “Jo Baby”. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. However, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is in Heaven and she is completely healed.
