Joel Bronson “Poncho” Hawkins, 46, of Olive Branch, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. He was born May 12, 1970 in Atlanta, GA to Joe and Genie Hawkins. Joel was a U. S. Army veteran, a First Responder, member of the Lawful Sons Motorcycle Club, member of the Great Commission Church and an Emergency Room Technician with St. Francis Hospital. Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife; Bonnie Hawkins, daughters; Christina Farrell, Julia Hawkins Price, Mollie Hawkins, sons; Andrew and Zachary Hawkins, sisters; Janet Gill, Nancy Rainey, Patricia Martin, Cecelia Trowbridge, brothers; Gene, David, Jeff, John, Jimmy and Richard Hawkins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hawkins. The family will receive friends 5pm – 8pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Brantley Funeral Home.
