John Michael Smith

John Michael Smith, 68, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025. Mike was born on September 28, 1956 in Memphis, TN. He is a graduate of Olive Branch High School. Mike was a believer in Jesus Christ and a longtime member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He loved watching SEC sports but was an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels. He also had a ravenous sweet tooth and always enjoyed a sweet treat of any kind. His family and friends meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. Mike was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Smith. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Smith; daughter, Ashley Kozlowitz (Andrew); daughter, Emily Wells (Quinn); mother, Louise Smith; brother, Mark Smith (Anne); brother, Tim Smith (Kip); and grandchildren: Sarah Kozlowitz, Hannah Kozlowitz, Everly Epstein, and Silas Epstein. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 12:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
