June Elizabeth Lawson, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in Senatobia, MS. She was born on June 1, 1933 to the late Crockett Dixon and Edna Addis Pennebaker in Isola, Ms. June worked at 1St Tennessee Bank, Dillards, and retired from Kohl’s in Southaven, Ms. She was a remarkable outgoing woman and a huge flirt. June enjoyed her three cups of coffee in the mornings to get her day started. She also enjoyed chocolate and was a classic movie buff. Gone with the Wind, Downton Abbey, The Three Musketeers, Everything Star Trek, were a few things you would find her watching. June adored Queen Elizabeth and The Royal Family. She was an avid square dancer for over 50 years. June was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas E. Vanlandingham, and her second husband, Robert V. Lawson. She leaves behind two daughters, Janice E. Scott (Michael) and Sherri Lawson Fendrych (John). June also leaves behind three granddaughters, Kristin Power (Pat), Kimberly Walker (Landon), Jessica Fendrych, and five great grandchildren: Samantha Power, Mikael Walker, Katie Power, Magnus Walker, and P.J. Power. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
