Kara Rebecca McKnight, 35, of Hernando, MS, passed from this life Tuesday, May 17, 2016. She was born July 28, 1980 in Memphis, TN to David Arthur and Rebecca Surratt Whitten. Kara was a homemaker and a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven. She is survived by her husband, Jim McKnight; son, Sam McKnight; mother, Rebecca Whitten; grandmother, Clara B. Surratt; sister, Kelley Epps (Adrian), and a brother, Kristopher Whitten (Michelle). She was preceded in death by her father and her infant daughter, Mary Ann McKnight. The family will receive friends beginning at Noon on Saturday at the Broadway Baptist Church with funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
