

Kinsey D. Wilhite, 72, of Walls, MS, died November 4, 2010. Mr. Wilhite was retired from the U. S. Postal Service, and worked at the TVA – Allen Steam Plant and in construction. He was a graduate of Messick High School, an original member of the Walls Fire Department, founder of the Walls Ambulance Service, former Desoto County EMS Director, Chairman of the Desoto County 911 Commission, and a Mississippi State Volunteer of the year. He was active in MS UMCOR, The United Methodist Church, Habitat for Humanity, and the Desoto Health and Wellness Center, Inc. Mr. Wilhite is survived by his wife of 53 years, Billie Wilhite; four daughters, Leslie (Bobby) Logan, Barbara (Bob) Adams, Laurie (Troy) Barton, and Jennifer Wilhite; nine grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Saturday, November 6th at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 7th at 1pm at the church. Interment will follow in Edmondson Cemetery in Southaven.
