Larry James Oliphant

Larry James Oliphant, 76, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital. He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Larry was a man of faith and was a member of First Baptist Church of Byhalia. He was also a Navy Veteran and a volunteer firefighter for the city of Hammond, Louisiana. Larry leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Linda Oliphant; two daughters Rhonda Oliphant Brumfield and Angela Spindle; one son James Wade Oliphant; three sisters, Sandra Oliphant, Regina Bertus, and Kathy McKinney; one brother Jake Hoover; five grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Wade, Jared, and Caterra; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Oliphant and Mary Beatrice Woodside; and one brother Bart Oliphant. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 11, at 6:00pm, at First Baptist Church of Byhalia, 2555 Church St, Byhalia, MS 38611.
