

Lawton James “Jim” Tabor, 59, Byhalia, MS passed away in his home on August 15, 2025. Jim was a sweet soul and will be lovingly remembered for his love of dogs, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and his love of music. Photography, day trips in the mountains at Mt. Rainier and spending time with his dog Tucker was his favorite past time. Jim felt things deeply and cared the most for those who could not care for themselves.
He served in the United States Army, and continued his government service by joining the United States Postal Service immediately following his military discharge. He retired to Byhalia, MS to be near his parents Jim is survived by Richard Tritinger his Dad, his sisters Lizabeth Joy Tabor, and Karen Tritinger, and his nieces Ella and Madelyn Young. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Evelyn Tritinger (Peggy)
A service will be held at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery rotunda building on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
