Linda Lee Doddridge, age 72, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Linda was born January 22, 1949 in Memphis, TN to James Autry Doddridge, Jr. and Josephine Hunt Doddridge.
Ms. Doddridge was a graduate of Olive Branch High School and received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from the Mississippi State University for Women in Columbus, MS.
She taught in Clarksdale City Schools, Clarksdale, MS and in Cleveland Public Schools in Cleveland, MS for four years. She then dedicated twenty-seven years of her life to the children of the Lucilia Wood Elementary School of the Elaine Public Schools in Elaine, AR.
Along with her parents, Ms. Doddridge is survived by her sister; Martha Anne Doddridge of Helena, AR and Olive Branch, MS. As well a a large extended family of relatives and friends whom she loved as siblings.
She was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church her entire life, Chief Mussacunna Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Bedford Forrest Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and a member of the Olive Twigs Cultural Group.
A visitation for Linda will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by Funeral Services at 2:00 PM all at Brantley Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Blocker Cemetery in Olive Branch.
