Lucious Wade Darnell, 86, of Coldwater, MS passed away at Shepherd Hospice House in Southaven on February 2, 2026. Mr. Darnell was born on March 15, 1939, in Tate Co., MS to the late Sam Darnell and Vera Farrow Darnell. He was married to Sadie Baldwin Darnell for 67 years. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wade Darnell; brother, Mack Darnell; and two sisters, Maxine Taylor and Helen Smart. Mr. Darnell is survived by his wife, Sadie Baldwin Darnell; and his brother, James Darnell. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Cockrum Cemetery.
