

Maxine Moseley, 92, of Southaven, MS went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2025. Maxine was born on January 14, 1933, in Ozark, AL to the late Mac and Mattie Moseley. She is a 1951 graduate of Dale County High School. After high school, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She then went on to attend New Orleans Baptist Seminary where she earned a Master’s degree in religious education. Upon her graduation from seminary, she worked for the Southern Baptist Women’s Ministry for many years. Her ministry continued with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board, where she served as missionary in Ghana West Africa for 10 years. After coming back to the states, she became a chaplain in 1989 at Montclair Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, Al. She served as a patient representative and chaplain at Dale County Hospital in Ozark, AL. Maxine later moved to Memphis, TN where she worked for St. Francis Hospital as a home Health Nurse. She later went on to work as a nurse at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Her final stop in her career was with Unity Hospice in Olive Branch, where she worked until her retirement. After her retirement she continued to work part time until the age of 87, when she retired for good. Along with her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ewell Moseley and Carl Moseley. She is survived by her brother, William J. Moseley (Shirley); brother, Clyde Moseley (Loyette); sister-in-law, Elaine Moseley; several nephews; and one great niece. A memorial service will be held for Maxine at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ozark, AL.
