

She was born on March 13, 1933, in Sunflower, MS to the late William Charles Morgan and Willie Dale (Selby) Morgan. She grew up in Marks, MS, the youngest of six girls surrounded by a loving family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She graduated from Marks High School and attended Office Training School in Memphis, TN.
On September 3, 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, William H. Scott Ill and began a life of adventures as the wife of an Air Force Fighter Pilot. Their many moves took them to Maine, Japan, throughout the United States, and to Germany. In every place, Peggy created a warm, beautiful home. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed learning the cuisines of the different places she lived. She also was an excellent seamstress whether she was making clothes for her daughters or curtains and pillows for her homes.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Mildred Brister of Blytheville, AR; her 3 daughters, Susan Pearson of Manassas, VA, Blythe Muccio (Sal) of Foley, AL, and Bethany Mills (Jeff) of Germantown, TN; 3 grandchildren, Jeramia Trotter (Olivia), Shane Houston (Amy), and Selby White (Lorenzo); 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
If friends desire, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association. Due to severe allergies, please do not send flowers.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Forest Hill South.
