Richard John Zaino, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven, MS. He was born on August 1, 1933 to the Late Antonio and Vincenza Zaino in Everett, Massachusetts. Richard was a hardworking and determined man. He served in the United States Navy for 7 years with 2 years of Foreign and Sea Service. Richard enjoyed woodworking, roses, and even attending dog shows for over 25 years. His greatest passion were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Vincenza Zaino and 6 siblings. He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Betty Wilson Zaino; two children, Ricky Zaino (Donna), Toni West, and two siblings, Jeanette Di Mare and Robert Zaino. Richard also leaves behind two grandchildren, Tracie Mills (Todd), Mark West, and three great grandchildren, McCoy Mills, Kennedy Mills, and Weston Mills. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
