Russell F. Taylor

Russell Taylor, 86, of Coldwater, MS passed away on November 7, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1935 to Cecil and Marguerite Taylor in Independence, MS. He enjoyed taking care of his cows, driving an 18 wheeler, and tending to his garden. Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Taylor; parents, Cecil and Marguerite Taylor; brothers, Charles Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Wilbur Ray Taylor, and Kenneth Taylor; sisters, Vernalee Todd, Sandra K. Taylor, and Betty Jean Miller; and grandson, Jimmy Dale Sigler. He is survived by his children, Kay Sigler, Dale Taylor, and Curtis Taylor; brothers, Floyd Taylor, and Howard Taylor; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family. A gathering of friends will take place from 9:30-11:00am Thursday, November 11, 2021 with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11am all at New Hope Baptist Church, 1290 New Hope Road, Coldwater, MS 38618 with burial to follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
