Sandra Sampson Duncan, 69, a longtime resident of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away on February 22, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 16, 1948 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Martin Eugene Sampson and Eva Mae Rick Sampson and was a 1966 graduate of Ottawa High School. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart, Tim Duncan, with whom she enjoyed 49 years of marriage. They moved to Southaven, Mississippi in 1984 where they made their home for the next 34 years. Sandy's greatest passion in life was to be a mom and homemaker, and she embraced both roles with enthusiasm. She lived life to the fullest and lovingly invested her time and energy in everyone around her, especially her three children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, baking, and decorating her home. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family, especially watching her beloved grandchildren play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Eva Sampson, and brother Gary Sampson. She is survived by her husband, Tim Duncan; children, Tim Duncan (Dana), Melissa Dodson (Steve), and Kristen Tucker (Brett); siblings, Don Sampson (Arlene), Marty Sampson (Judy), and Sheila Modesitt (Gary); and grandchildren, Kaylee, Olivia, Breanna, Trevor, and Allison. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 from 4-6pm and again on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 12pm until the funeral service begins at 1pm, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS. Interment will follow in DeSoto Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Beautiful lady.....beautiful family.....precious memories.....beautiful Angel. I am so sorrow for the loss of my dear friend...Mother, wife, grandmother... and I smile with tears of her suffering no more,...... peaceful and at rest. May God wrap his precious arms around this loving family...and they find comfort in our prayers and knowing how much we care.
