Sylvia Golden, 74, of Coldwater, MS, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Golden worked for many years at Chattanooga Glass Company. She went back to school in her early 40's and successfully completed her GED and earned her cosmetology license. In addition to her cosmetology work, which she did out of her home, she was a stay at home mom and homemaker.
Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Golden. She is survived by her children, Rickey Lee Golden, Sr. (Laura), Donna Taylor (Brian), and Anita Golden Simmons (Jimmy), three brothers, Buck Busby, Billy Ray Busby, and Sonny Busby, one sister, Kay Brawley, five grandchildren, Kyle Taylor, Bo Payne, Kaitlyn Taylor, Gracie Simmons, and Rickey Lee Golden, Jr., and one great-grandchild, Graylee Payne.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 1pm until the funeral service begins at 2pm, all at Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.brantleyfuneral.com.
