Talmadge Wayne Martin, Jr., 66, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Desoto Health Care in Southaven, MS. He was born on October 22, 1954 in Vicksburg, MS to the late Talmadge Wayne Martin, Sr. and Gladys Martin. Wayne worked at CBRE for 20 years before retiring. He could be found fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Wayne loved staying busy, with both work and leisure. He enjoyed football and spending time with his friends and family. His family and friends will miss Wayne dearly. His wife, Pamela Martin; his parents, Talmadge and Gladys, and his brother, Danny Martin, preceded him in death. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Maris Martin (Maverick Kohlhof), his stepdaughter, Emily Wallace (Jimmy), and his sister, Sharon Carver (Tom). He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Avery Wallace, Maddie Wallace, Caroline Wallace; his nephew, Martin, and two nieces, Catherine and Sallie Rose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fishers of Men, C/O Mark Papachristou, 1428 Brayhill Cove Collierville, TN 38017, St. Jude’s Childrens’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or a charity of the donor’s choice. A Celebration of Life will he held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 7:00 pm with visitation beginning at 6:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
