Virginia Lynn Woolsey passed on November 6, 2022 in her home in Olive Branch, MS at the family farm that she loved. Virginia was born on April 23, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to Milton Lennie Woolsey and Virginia Collier Woolsey. She graduated from Collegedale Academy in 1965. She then moved to Memphis after graduation to assist her father at Holiday Iron Works and Holiday Landscaping. After, she then worked in insurance sales. Most recently, she was self-employed in Olive Branch, Mississippi where she also lived. Virginia was described as being full of life and love, and had the ability to make everyone laugh. She passionately loved her family and friends. She looked forward to every event where family and friends were gathering. She was always there for support in whatever way she could. She especially looked forward to her Collegedale Academy High School Reunion which she helped plan every April. Virginia loved taking pictures. She was an amateur photographer…always documenting everything that was happening around her: Family, friends, flowers, pets, and the farm. Early on, she always carried around her prized Minolta camera until she dropped it into the Red Panda exhibit at the zoo. Then she transitioned to point and shoot cameras, and ultimately she made the switch to her cell phone. She captured the best memories with her photography bringing joy to her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Dean, daughter Jennifer Smith and her husband Caleb Smith, grandson, Caleb Smith Jr., nephews, Lyn Dent and Nathan Dean, Aunts, Betty Zachary and Julia Roach, Uncle John Roach, and many cousins and friends.
