William “Bill” and Tina Byrd Simmons, 55 and 54, both went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in Tate County, MS. Bill was born on June 2, 1965 to Stanley and Rebecca Simmons. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp. Tina was born on December 27, 1965 to James “Shot” and Carolyn Byrd.
Bill and Tina’s greatest passions in life were spending time with their children and grandchildren. Bill loved to ride motorcycles and was involved in the motorcycle club. Tina also shared that love but she really enjoyed cooking. She even had a picture album dedicated on Facebook for her cooking. Both were actively involved and dedicated members of Solid Rock Assembly of God.
Along with both fathers, Stanley Simmons and James “Shot” Byrd, they were preceded in death by three siblings, Michael Simmons, Sonya Simmons, and Donna Knight. Survivors include three children, Terin Alford (Jeffery), Tonia Simmons, Rebecca E. Simmons; both mothers, Rebecca J. Simmons, Carolyn T. Byrd. Bill and Tina also leave behind 5 grandchildren, Dalton Adam Simmons, Dillon Wayne Kitchens, Levi Wade Alford, Jacob David Phillips, and Emma Leanne Hoffpauir.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Solid Rock Assembly of God, 16938 Hwy 4, Senatobia, MS 38668.
Burial will follow Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
