Wilma Olene Lawson

Ms. Lawson was born in Guys, TN the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. W. White Sr. and a graduate of Ramer High School. She retired from Sears Roebuck Co. and was a longtime member of the former Oakhaven Christian Church, and was currently a member of Olive Branch Christian Church.

Ms. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband John P. Lawson Jr., granddaughter Amy Caroline Walton Phillips, sister Audrey Derryberry, brother James W. White Jr. and son in law Dan M. Griffin. She is survived by daughters, Glenda Walton (Ed) of Cincinnati, OH, Janet Medlin (Jessie) and Judy Griffin of Olive Branch. She is also leaves behind grandchildren, Joshua Walton (Liz), Kevin Medlin (Melissa), Brett Medlin (Mandy), Stacey Elliott (Garrett), Brian Griffin (Jennifer), Holly Griffin, and great grandchildren; Lawson, Wade and Grace Phillips; Isaac, Cecilia and Rachael Walton, and Maycee, Audree and Lance Medlin.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday May 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. with the funeral service on Saturday May 16th at 10:00 a.m. all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS. Interment will follow service at Memphis Memory Gardens in Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Olive Branch Christian Church or Methodist Alliance Hospice or charity of your choice.
