Winnie Gladys Williams

WINNIE PANNELL WILLIAMS, 80, was called to her heavenly home on November 21, 2011. She is survived by her son, Kerry Williams (Donna) of Collierville, TN and three daughters, Karen Stevens (David), Sherry Fisk (Terry), and Terri Morris (Greg), all of Olive Branch; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Fishel (Chris), Stacy Salter (Cory), Shane Williams (Missy), Drew Williams (Kara), Megan, Christian, and Kiera Williams, Dereck Fisk (Christy), Amy Fisk, and Paige and Dylan Morris; 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ross Pannell of Guntown, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams was born on March 5, 1931 in Bethany, MS and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Rex E. Williams and her parents, Samuel and Laura Pannell, four brothers, Joe, Houston, Herman and Dee Pannell, three sisters, Lizzie McDonald Cartwright, Addie Lindley and Toy Hall, and her great-grandson, Rylee Fisk. After working 15 years at Robinson’s Department Store in Memphis, Mrs. Williams cared fro children in her home for over 25 years. “Miss Winnie” will be greatly missed by those little ones whom she loved as her own. Mrs. Williams was a member of Cedarview Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. The family will receive friends at Brantley Funeral Home from 12-2 p.m., with service at 2 p.m., Friday, November 25. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
