Alberto Castillo

Formerly of South Omaha. Passed away peacefully and joined his wife Eleanor and daughter Lela who preceded him in death. Al has been living in North Carolina and his wishes were to be laid to rest next to his Eleanor in Omaha. Al retired from both Wilson's and The University of Nebraska in Omaha before moving to North Carolina. Al will be remembered by all who knew him for his dedication and care of his wife Eleanor, and his love for dogs and people. Al is survived by his daughter Mary and son-in-law Ben Thompson, Wilmington NC; son Albert and daughter-in-law Emily Castillo, Alamogordo, NM; daughter Debbie Sanchez, Omaha; son Carlos Castillo and Roxanne Byers, Omaha; daughter Lilia Castillo, Omaha; son Michael Castillo, Tacoma, WA; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION Wednesday 6-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at at Crosby Burket Swanson Golden Funeral Home. Mass Thursday 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 24th St. South Omaha with Graveside Service at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial, 5701 Center St., Omaha, NE 68106. A luncheon will be held in Al's honor for family and friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Alberto Castillo to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
