Mark was born August 27, 1935, to Thomas Greely King and Joycy Crandall King. He attended Knoxville High School, graduating in the class of 1953. After high school he graduated from Omaha Baptist Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska in 1957. Mark served his country in the United States Army from February 19, 1958 until February 17, 1961.
After his discharge from the Army, Mark returned to Omaha where he lived until his death. Mark had several jobs in Omaha. He retired from his job at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska in 1990 after working there for a little over twenty two years. After retiring, Mark helped his wife Namie at her gift shop, Treasure Mart, for nearly twenty years.
Mark is survived by his wife, Namie; son, John (Sharon) King; daughter, Linda (Mike) Flores; sister, Ella Ouellette; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
A visitation for Andrew will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Andrew will be laid to rest in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
