She married Don Omer on October 15th, 1950. They celebrated the birth of three children, Tom, Patti and Jim.
After Don's death in 1983 Ardy married Harold W. Chester.
Ardy enjoyed being physically and socially active. She especially loved gardening, golfing, dancing, knitting, reading and travel. She was also very involved with her church, German American Society and the Douglas County Historical Society.
Ardy was preceded in death by husbands Don Omer and Harold Chester, her parents, brother Jerry, granddaughter Lynett Carlyle and great grandsons William and Desmond Carlyle. She is survived by sons Tom (Julie), Jim (Tammi) and daughter Patti (Ed) Martin, step-children Wayne Chester, David (Kay) Hunter-Chester, Jeff (Sherrie) Chester and Denise (Steve) Lundell along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Interment will take place Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10am, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11am at Westlawn-Hillcrest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lutheran Church of the Master or German American Society.
