Born in Spokane, WA, she moved to Sioux City, IA as a child and has lived in Miwaukee, WI; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; Lincoln, NE; and Omaha, where she passed away at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin; and son Thomas. She is survived by her son Steven Miller and his wife Liz of Bellevue, NE; 6 grandchildren, Matt Miller, Omaha, Michelle Miller, Bellevue, Eileen Crean, Maureen, Mary, and Ryan Miller, Brockton, MA; and 6 great grandchildren. While living in Lincoln, Bernice was a member of the Cornhusker State Clown Alley and the Clowns of America. She appeared in several cities for 17 years in her character costumes. Bernice was a past recording secretary for the Southwest Omaha Republican Club and very active in the Republican Campaigns in Douglas County and Nebraska. She was a member of Mary Our Queen church in Omaha, and a member of the Carmel Guild and the Queen of Peace in Sioux City, IA.
VISITATION Monday 6-8pm, with Rosary at 6:30pm at Crosby Burket Swan-son-Golden Colonial Chapel. FUNERAL MASS Tuesday 11am at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City, IA Wednesday at 10am. Memorials to Mary Our Queen Church, Omaha, NE and to Queen of Peace, Sioux City, IA. CROSBY BURKET
