May God Comfort You and bring blessings to you as you mourn your lovely mother Bernice. Sometimes mere words just aren't enough to take away the grief, so we rely on God for help and strength in this great time of need. May he uplift you gently, take the sorrow that you bear as a family for your mother and grandmother, then comfort you with healing in the love of God's care.
Here's to you Steve and family that there is no greater love that can be shared than for you mother, Bernice and your father and brother before her. We remember so well the great baker that she shared with us at every picnic, it was her "rolls" that made the picnic what it was, I believe she has taken that recipe to heaven to share with those who have shared God before her. Then it has to be the "Red" car. I still look today for one like it. She loved that car and it should have been her chosen drive as she "clowned around".  Thanks to Steve and family for sharing your mother with those who without a doubt will always remember her and enjoy the love and smiles Bernice shared.

Steve and Family,
I met your Mom shortly after your folks moved to Lincoln.  What a delightful, fun lady.  I remember her amazing teapot collection.  She would invite me and my two pre-schoolers over for tea.  She and I would have tea, and she gave the children 7-up in wine glasses.  They loved her Indian collection.  Bernice told me about the Thrift Shop back east and thought we should have one at St. Teresa.  When she went to talk to Fr. Pleskac about it, she took me along as back-up.  And the rest is history.  The Thrift Shop is still going strong and is a blessing to the parish and all who shop there.
We just heard Sunday at Mass that Bernice passed away.  She is in my prayers.  She loved her family more than anything in the world.  God bless you all.

My memories go all the way back to when I was 3 or 4 years old, very few are not happy memories. She taught me how to "camp" in her living room, placing a sheet over a few dinging table chairs and crawling under to take a nap, which I intend to teach to my son, who is now 3, and another game when riding in the car, ducking when you go under a bridge or overpass, which I have already taught my son. She was always quick and willing with a smile & a hug. She will be sorely missed, the world is now a lesser place now that she is gone. I love you Grandma!! Cameron loves you too, Grandma the Great!!! Jonna & Savannah miss you as well.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you all as you close this chapter of your life. Steve, at least your Mom kept active continuously until her body gave out.  One of her favorite clown impersonations was Ms. Bee and she was always as" busy as a bee"!   I will focus on the good memories in discussions on the phone with her and through our mutual correspondence over many years.  One of the best visits ever was when Bernice lived in Boston and she entertained us with her clown impersonations.   She was always a good cook so dinner at her place also was a treat.  In the Photo Gallery, I took the picture of "Prunes', my Dad Harold Desy, and Bernice when they visited my home. 
Know that in spirit, I will be there beside you all at the Funeral and visitations and will also be saying goodbye to your Mom and my Aunt Bernice.
May God Bless her soul and bring her happiness with those who left before her.
