Our precious Betty died peacefully amidst family and friends in Omaha on March 14, 2015 after a short battle against an aggressive cancer. Her family saw her as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and as a feisty advocate of equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons. She received several awards for her volunteer activities. While working as a special education paraprofessional, she received the Outstanding Educator of the Year award given by the Nebraska Chapter of the Council for Children with Behavior Disorders. She was preceded in death by son, Michael, who died in 2006. She is survived by husband, Bob; sons, David (Trish) and Rick; grandson, Jason (Liz); granddaughters, Cassie and Anna; great-grandchild, Steffen, and brother, Milton Davison, all of Omaha. VISITATION Thursday from 6-8pm at First United Methodist Church. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday 2pm at First United Methodist Church, 7020 Cass St, Omaha, NE 68132.
