

Bob “Jack” Pendley born February 9, 1929 in Spruce Pine North Carolina passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2026 after living in Bellevue Nebraska for 60 years. Bob retired from the US Air Force after serving his country for more than 20 years. His military duty stations included: Johnston Atoll, the Korean war theater, Guam, Spain and numerous AFBs all across the continental United States and finally retiring 4 years after arriving at Offutt AFB. His military assignments even included the mysterious Area 51, but he never revealed any secrets.
Bob was an avid Nebraska Women’s Volleyball fan, master wood craftsman, and a great fisherman, including one state record for channel catfish. Bob’s primary fishing spot was the Offutt Base Lake, where he knew all the best spots for the variety of fish therein. He also successfully fished in most of the lakes between western Nebraska and northern Minnesota and quite a number in Zaragoza Spain and the Pyrenees.
Above all else, Bob Pendley was the consummate family man. Bob was a good provider for his entire family and provided a stable and wholesome influence on each and every one. Bob always cherished having all his descendants visit him.
Bob Pendley was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, wife for 54 years and his son Robert Dean Pendley
Bob Pendley is survived by his Dora Fox (sister), three living, 4 grand-children, and 5 great grand-children and 5 great-great grand-children:

My Father was very good and honorable person. He was a simple man who loved and nurtured his family, enjoyed the abundance of gifts and blessings bestowed upon him, endured the hardships and sorrows of lost loved ones and lived a long a very healthy and prosperous life.
