Bradley Craig Hoenshell

He is survived by his loving wife, Monika; daughter, Lauren of Dallas; mother, Judy Bromm (John) of Tekamah; sister, Kimberly (Tom) Egan of Omaha; brother, Jason (Jan) of Elkhorn; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, R. Craig Hoenshell; and grandparents.

Bradley Craig Hoenshell was born in Omaha on January 31, 1967, to Judy and the late Craig Hoenshell. He grew up in Omaha and graduated from Brownell-Talbot School in 1985. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Brad was a serious and conscientious student, but he also knew how to have fun—sometimes in wonderfully mischievous ways. Those who knew him will always remember his strong personality and his meticulous nature. He took pride in everything around him, from the way he dressed and cared for his home to keeping his desk perfectly organized. These little details were simply part of who Brad was.

After college, Brad made Dallas his home and built a rewarding career in the software industry. Most recently, he was a Project Director at Workday, where he led complex technology projects for major organizations. He was a respected leader known for his steady guidance, determination, generosity in mentoring others and ability to bring people together to solve difficult problems. He was especially proud of leading the City of Los Angeles through its transition to Workday, a significant accomplishment in his career.

Brad was deeply proud of his daughter, Lauren, and of the young woman she became. Following in her father’s footsteps, she attended Southern Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Accounting.

Brad was a lifelong Husker fan, with a particular love for football and volleyball. He could become quite frustrated with the football team, especially in recent seasons, and would jokingly say it was time to turn the football field into a parking lot.

Brad and his wife, Monika, shared a deep love of scuba diving and adventure. As advanced divers, they explored the underwater world together in beautiful destinations including Mexico, the Maldives, and Belize. Brad especially enjoyed underwater photography, capturing and sharing the remarkable beauty he discovered.

Fitness was also an important part of Brad’s life. Whether walking, cycling, or strength training, he loved staying active and strong. He approached life with energy, purpose, and determination.

Brad will be remembered not only for the career he was so proud of, but for his beautiful smile, his humor, his adventurous spirit, his meticulous nature, and the many people whose lives he touched. He lived life fully in his own distinctive way and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
