Carol Lee Mutz

Carol was born October 24, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska to Leon and Phyllis Mutz. She has one sister, Jean. Carol attended St. Cecilia's Grade School and Cathedral High School where she worked on the school play and was a member of The Red Cross, Library Club, German Club, Pep Club and Girl Scouts. She was a member of the National Honor Society when she graduated in 1970. She went to college at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and graduated with a BA in English. Carol worked a number of years as a paralegal, where she developed an interest in research and the law. This prompted her to attend law school at UNL, where she became an editor of law review and graduated with honors. Carol started a legal research business where she practiced until her passing.

Carol loved watching volleyball and tennis and solving puzzles. She was a lifelong reader and consumed a wide variety of material. She especially enjoyed mysteries. Though Carol enjoyed her private time, she also loved spending time with a wide variety of friends, acquaintances, and clients. She was blessed with many loving friends in her life.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held at Brazen Head Irish Pub Party Room 319 N. 78th St. in Omaha June 29th, 2025 1:00-3:00pm. Please join us for food, drinks, and shared memories among friends.
