Connie (Crabtree) Cleaver

Connie was born on February 9, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lloyd and Norma (Burke) Crabtree. Connie was the joy of her parent’s life and she was a devoted daughter and granddaughter.

Connie had a quiet and steadfast faith in Jesus that spoke loudly in how she lived. Her kind hearted gentle care and sacrifice for others was felt warmly by everyone in her life.

Connie’s pride and joy was her family. She was married to her husband Dennis Cleaver for 59 years. Together they had 4 children; Stacey Cleaver, Lance Cleaver (Amy), Shannon Stover (Brad), and her infant son Scott who preceded her in death.

Connie had 6 grandchildren whom she adored and cherished; Jacob, Logan, Luke, Kamden, Kade and Ellie.

Connie was an amazing cook and she used that to love others. If you came into Connie’s home, your favorite meal and a special sweet treat was waiting for you. The kids in her life knew exactly where Connie’s “treat corner” was.

She was also an incredibly talented creative person who put her heart into handmade projects. From sewing to quilting she made many precious gifts for others.

Connie’s love and care will be missed deeply.

Connie was preceded in death by her son Scott, her parents; and her grandparents Arthur and Hazel Burke.

She is survived by her husband, her children, and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Connie will be laid to rest at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park with a private burial.
