7 years and it seems like yesterday and forever ago.  The past year was a difficult one for all of your children and you were missed.  Love you dad and you are still a part of our every day life.

This year I think was the hardest not having my dad to talk to.  So many challenges and hurdles to cross over.  I am sure he heard me talking to him for guidance but would much rather have had him face to face.  I sure do miss him.

5 years and still find myself calling my dad.  Love and miss him so very much.

Coming up on 4 years and still missing you.  I know that you are watching and seeing the new great grandchildren, new spouses, new horse and new dog.  Comforting to know that you were there to greet Chirp and Duke this past year.  I love you dad.

It’s been 3 years and I still find myself calling dad to talk about the Stanley cup playoffs.  I miss you.

Uncle Dale was hands down awesome. I loved him so much. We went from a kid growing up having alot of fun together babysitting my cousins...the time while babysitting I fell asleep on the 3rd floor and when Uncle Dale and Aunt Barb got home I didn't hear the door and they couldn't get in. Uncle Dale got a ladder and put it up to the 3rd floor. A Police Officer driving by stopped him thinking he was trying to break in.  Everything got worked out and Uncle Dale loved telling that story. There's so much more... Making jewelry together and on and on. My grandson Isaiah and him were sooooooo close. Loved playing cards together and just being together. We love and miss you Uncle Dale . We will see you in Heaven when we get there! 😍😍😍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😍

First, I want to share my heartfelt condolences to all our family and the friends who are experiencing the loss of our Dad.  Each of us were touched in a unique way that is deeply personal.  We all know that he never met a stranger.   Second, which memory do you share when all of them are so important?  How to choose from childhood filled with horseshoes with U. Bob, camping w/ the Petersons, Dudychas, Whites and Swansons, horsey rides and that shaking leg requiring hugs; growing years of softball, hockey, playing golf, painting/roofing and learning to drive; or maybe the adult years of sage advice, health scares, visiting us all over the US, loving his grandkids and pulling the two sides of his family together in unconditional acceptance and love.  I do know I am grateful to have him tied up in all the various experiences I had in life whether we were near or far.  It just seems that right now, he is further away and yet closer than he ever was.  Third, thank you to everyone who were part of my Dad's life.  My Dad was one of the richest people I know.

There are so many memories to share about Dad.  Dale F Swanson was first and foremost a good man and a man of faith. He was not overt about his faith, but his beliefs were solid. We had many discussions about life and death and God these last few years as Dad got older.  He has enjoyed his bonus life very much and saw his family grow over the years since then.  What I'm talking about is when dad flat lined in the hospital 3 times 25 plus years ago.  Bonus time. He saw his kids growing up, moving into the working world and have families of their own. Dads Grand Kids were a huge part of his life and he loved all of us, kids and grand kids, with his whole heart.
From time on the ice, to cribbage, chess, checkers, acey-duecey and tons of cards games, Dad just loved spending time with his family, and we loved our time with him.
Dale Franklin Swanson, Son of Frank and Mary, Father, Grandfather, Husband, Friend, Mentor and Coach, is missed by his family and friends and will be missed until we see him again in the next life.

Dad could fix anything with a roll of duct tape, hanger or hockey sticks.  The gear shift stick broke in Grandma Swanson’s car so he rigged it and we had the only car that had part of his goalie stick as a shifter.  I will and am missing him.



Dale was a good man, and always a good neighbor at the Omaha Farmers Market.
