

Daryl Thomas Clark passed away in Vancouver, Washington Friday, February 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Daryl was born on December 16, 1942 in Sioux Falls, SD to Cecil and Marcella (Hoffman) Clark. Daryl married Rosalie Clark on June 4, 1966 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Daryl grew up on a farm in South Dakota and moved to Omaha, NE, to work at Fontenelle Hotel in the accounting department. He served 5 years in the Air National Guard as an electrician and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. Daryl worked for Nashua Corporation for many years as a quality control inspector. After he left Nashua, he worked in various departments at Plastrglas retiring as his most fitting job, tool room manager.
A devoted and hard-working husband and father, Daryl and Rosalie raised three wonderful kids. He participated in their activities including 4-H, Scouts, archery, and various sports. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, woodworking, creating with stained glass, winemaking, and building things in his treasured garage. He was always ready to give a bottle of his highly potent rhubarb wine and Mom constantly added to his annual list of recipients for his beautiful Christmas stained glass ornament. He was a lifetime member of the Golden Arrow Archery Club and a Hunter Safety Instructor. Daryl and Rosalie were members of the St. James Catholic Church where Daryl was a reader and usher. Spending time with the grandchildren always brought such joy to their lives and they attended as many events as possible to show their support.
In March 2024, Daryl and Rosalie moved to Camas, Washington. They enjoyed being neighbors with the grandkids who would frequently stop in to steal Papa’s cookies and ice cream. Precious memories were made with nightly meals together, taking Papa salmon fishing, and hearing him cheer on the kids at almost every sporting event. The last 6 weeks were spent in a care facility where he enjoyed visiting with the other tenants and eating all the good food and pies presented at dinner.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosalie (Pelant) Clark; his children: Lisa Clark (Bayly, Frazee), Dean (Katina) Clark, and Jennifer (Tyler) Buford; his grandchildren: Andrew (Emma) Bayly, Brianna Frazee, Aidan Frazee, Trevor Buford, Carly Buford and Trey Buford; his step-grandchildren: Jack Samuelson, Jett Samuelson, Yaqueline Loya-Mayorga; his great grandchildren: Hunter Bayly, Bennett Bayly, Crew Bayly, and Calia Bayly; sisters Audrey Gillen, Constance (Scott) Smith, Barbara (John) Adams, Mary Jo Hansen and brother-in-law Jerry Lyons; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and Muffin his cat.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 21 at 10:30 am at St. James Catholic Church, Omaha, NE with burial services following. The wake will be Thursday, February 20 from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
