Diane Sue (Joerns) Walters was born June 13, 1942 in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Omaha South High in 1960 and married her husband Gary Lee Walters on April 6, 1962. They were married 59 years. Diane was a full-time mom and worked part-time jobs.
Diane loved bowling in her early days, camping, her cats & dogs, feeding squirrels & birds, doing puzzles, and playing cards.
Diane and Gary were active at the Ralston Senior Center for many years. Diane was the secretary for the Senior Center. She recently lived at Bailey Pointe Assisted Living.
Diane was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Parkison in 2007 and husband, Gary in 2021. She is survived by her son, Mark Walters (Renee), grandchildren, Jeremy & Jennifer Parkison, and sisters, Gloria Ried and Judy Metz.
A memorial service for Diane will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
