Dona was my sister in-law. Dona was my brother David's rock. She was always by his side and he loved her dearly. The laughter we shared when I came to visit will always be a fond memory. I wish I could be there with the families. I know that Dona will watch over David as she will her children and their families.

Dona was a very charming person since the first time I met her. I had the chance to work with her for a couple of years during my fellowship training in infectious diseases in 2006. She was always willing to help me out, and to make my experience in training as smooth as possible, even bordering on pampering, which I know for sure was a reflection of her character. I still remember the graduation party she arranged, her love for her family, and her concern for the veterans that we have the opportunity to serve. My thoughts to her family. She will not be forgotten.

Dona always had a smile on her face. I'll miss our visits and her laughter! She was a good neighbor & friend. She would get mad at you, Ethan, but oh how she loved you!! She's gone but resting in the arms of Jesus.

Dona was our Administrative Assistant and Fellowship Coordinator in the Creighton University School of Medicine Section of Infectious Diseases when she retired. Years later we still miss her expertise, dedication, service and loyalty. All of us who were fortunate enough to work with her loved her sunny disposition, her heartfelt compassion and her gift for mothering all of us: faculty, fellows, residents, and students alike. In many ways she was the heart and soul of our ID Section.

Dona was a great woman and awesome mother in-law. We spent many Sunday’s on her couch at her house in Oakland watching the Vikings play her beloved packers. We always teased each other about one another’s team but never got too serious about it. She always made me feel at home when I was at her place. Dona always asked Katrina what was my request for lunch or dinner when we came over. I always wanted her fluff for dessert and her baked beans on the side and she usually had me cooking steaks on the grill. I have lots of great memories of us all hanging out on sundays as a family in Oakland doing work in the yard with David and Dona and him and I sneaking off for a few hours to catfish while Katrina , Dona and the kids would cook us a nice meal. I’m really gonna miss her! Especially on the days when the Vikings play the packers. Even when we couldn’t watch the games together she would always call me and we would chit chat about the game.
