Beloved mother and grandmother, age 85, died August 18, 2015 in Omaha, NE. Born August 4, 1930 in rural Malvern, IA, daughter of Richard W. Estes and Anna Belle M. Bates. Preceded in death by husband Eugene (Gene) Potach. Survived by sister, Mary (Estes) Mitchell of Omaha, and brother, Richard Estes of Reno, NV; children, Steven Potach (Judith Horn) of Robbinsdale, MN, Sharon Classen (Gregg) of Elkhorn, NE, and James Potach (Sandi) of Inverness, IL; and grandchildren, Kelly, Julia, Andrew, Kayla, Caden and Cameron. Eleanor attended schools in rural Mills County, IA, graduated from Glenwood, IA High School, attended Iowa State University (member, Chi Omega sorority) and later Municipal University of Omaha (now UNO), receiving a degree in Home Economics. She was a homemaker, and also worked for a number of years as a preschool and home economics teacher in the Omaha area. FUNERAL SERVICE 11am, Wednesday, August 26 at Northwest Hills Church, 9334 Fort, Omaha, NE 68134. VISITATION one hour prior to service. Private burial at Bohemian Cemetery, Omaha. Memorials to Northwest Hills Church or Alzheimer's Association.
