

Celebrating the Life of Betty (Elizabeth) Morrison Stratbucker Zachariae Dec. 16, 1933 - Dec. 22, 2014 Such an adventurous and brilliant soul, Betty was born in Beaumont, TX, grew up in Longmont, CO., where she was voted Most Outstanding Girl, in high school. After college at CU, with scholarships in mathematics and political science, Betty moved to Omaha, with her new husband, where she taught kindergarten, for many years. A world traveler, avid collector, and creative spirit, Betty was active with Girl Scouts, 4-H, PEO, Tri-Delt, Delta Kappa Gamma, Parliamentary Law, the family business in TX, family and pets. Betty saved her equestrian daughter’s life, after a jumping mishap! She loved yoga, bridge, friends, wildlife and living in Ponca Hills. Betty always was interested in getting to know people and embraced all types. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, sister Virginia Kruse, second husband Lloyd Zachariae, niece, aunt, and is survived by her first husband, Dr. Robert Stratbucker, their daughter, Lyndy (Sophia) Stratbucker, niece, nephew, Lloyd’s 3 children, many other relatives, numerous step grand children, great grand children, step-step children, and her cat Scamper. A Celebration of Life service will be January 24th, 2p @ Unity Church of Omaha, 3424 N 90 St. Thank you to all at Skyline Health Center, and Immanuel Hospital. Betty has requested memorials be given to The Wellness Connection, 501c3, integrative healthcare for trauma, addiction, brain damage, disease- 11616 N 34th Ave. Omaha 68112.
