Survived by wife, Mary (Wichman) Johansen; parents, Jan C. and Linda Johansen of South Sioux City, NE; brother, Karl of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Wendy Rollins (Mark) of Papillion, NE; nieces, Ashlyn, Gracie, Audrey; aunts; uncles; cousins; and faithful companion, Einstein.
Preceded in death by sisters, Kristin and Adrienne; grandparents, Reed and Vylet Tompkins, and Jo and Stanley Johansen.
Graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1982. Began employment at Tucker Glass. Attended Iowa State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Employed as a Civil Engineer for the US Army Corps of Engineers in the Protective Design Center of Expertise.
Member of the Mustang Car Club of Omaha. 2013 driver for Wounded Warriors Family Support High Five Tour.
