

He left home as a young teenager to work on the railroad. Frank joined the Army in February of 1965 and served for two years. He was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Frank was educated and performed duties as an X-ray technician while in the Army. He received the National Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
After his Honorable Discharge, he worked in construction and became a Journeyman Carpenter.
One child, Diana, was born in his first marriage to Helen Quiroz in 1968. His second marriage occurred in 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska to Betty Huie. This union was blessed with two daughters, Elizabeth and Jessica.
During his time in Omaha, he studied engineering and earned a BS degree in General Studies. He went on to work as a building inspector for the Planning Department in Omaha.
Frank had a generous nature and was always ready to lend a hand. He loved talking and was known for his many stories. He enjoyed fishing and spent many hours with family and friends out in nature with this activity.
Frank passed away March 8, 2024 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Irene Perez, brother Vincent Perez, and brother-in-law Art Contreras. He is survived by his wife, Betty, daughters Diana Perez, daughter and son-in-law Jessica Perez and Anthony Bolan, daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Scott Hopkins, sister Helen Contreras, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Frank will be greatly missed by family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity and his commitment to family and friends.
Visitation will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St. Omaha, NE on March 14, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will take place March 15, 2024 at 10 am at the same location.
