Gloria was born in Omaha, NE. She was a strong determined woman. She worked at the Omaha Club for many years. Her love for her husband & his dream, lead to the purchase of D&H Café, a little, South Omaha Café and within time the name was changed to La Loma Café. For 16years the family owned and operated café became a pillar of South Omaha.
After La Loma Café was sold in 2001, Gloria worked for the Durham Research Center II until retirement. In her leisure time she enjoyed thrift store shopping, caring for her family, helping others, and making a home for her husband, Pedro. Gloria’s love for her family could be seen by her selflessness and her constant generosity. Her thoughtfulness and kindness will be missed by all who knew her. While we are heartbroken, our memories are deep and numerous. We know she would tell us to rejoice and celebrate her journey home.
