Born April 6, 1932, in Omaha, Nebraska, Janice was the cherished only sister among five brothers. In 1951, she married Arthur R. Kroll. Their 48-year union was blessed with six children (five daughters and one son). Janice embraced many roles throughout her long and vibrant life: devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, accomplished realtor, and passionate poet. Known for her adventurous spirit, Janice loved to travel and seized every opportunity for new experiences. She remained young at heart to the end, cherished by family and friends alike.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her daughter, Patricia; and her five brothers: Stewart, Donald, Douglas, John, and Jerry.
Janice is survived by her children: Lois McDonald (Tom), Julie Auch (John), Jill Abbott (Pete), Douglas Kroll (Tracie), and Jennifer Reynolds (Steve); 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. A beloved presence in the lives of many, she will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial at 1:00 p.m.
