Jeff was born on December 7, 1966. He was born on KI Sawyer Air Force Base in Marquette, MI. He was an air force brat, but he was never a brat. For the rest of his school years, he traveled throughout the U.S. He started school at the age of four at Fulda Army Post in Fulda, Germany. He got on the school bus each morning and left our home in Eichezell heading to school each day. He lived in many places and attended many schools, because of the moving he never made close friends. His best friends were his immediate family and there was a strong bond between them. Dad retired from the air force in 1983 from Minot Air Force Base in ND. We moved to Omaha, NE, so we could be near to the grandparents in IA. Jeff was happy to be near his grandparents to get to know them better. He graduated high school in Papillion, NE, where we lived until 1987. When dad's job had us moving again, this time to Florida, his brother Chris was still in school and needed to move with us. Since we were moving again Jeff resigned from his job and moved with us. He had finally made some friends, one who remained his best friend until the end. Life changed in 1995 and found him back in Nebraska where he made a permanent home. He had lived in Nebraska longer than any other place in his life. Jeff wasn't fond of too many people outside of his family, but he had a few that he thought special. He loved trying new things, his cats, and his books. He was never seen without a book or two. He was a collector of many things. He didn't socialize much. Work, books, his collections, and family was his life. Wednesdays were special, it was NEW comic book day! In 2019, life threw him a huge curve, it was a bad time in his life. The job he really enjoyed for many years went away, and he was forced to start over again looking for a new job. After that his pet of about 18 years passed away. After that his grandmother passed away. After that mom moved away. It turned out to be too much for him, and he had a stroke in 2020. It was a long tough road to hoe, but he made it through. Saying he felt he lost 10 years off his life, but he survived and got back on with his life. Most didn't know this about Jeff, but he loved music. He could actually sound good when he sang along with the music. He was a walking book of knowledge. He could converse on any subject. He also liked to draw, especially buildings, and write poetry. He was a simple man who liked nothing fancy, but his good food, good books, good music, his pets, and spending time with family and friends.
So, this was Jeff in a nutshell.
