Joanne was a classmate of mine at South High.  I remember her always having a smile on her face.  Even though I didn’t know her personally, I knew who she was and saw her in the hallways.  After reading her obituary, I cried happy tears - she accomplished so much as a nurse, a wife, mother and all the other “hats” she wore in her lifetime. 
Know Her South High Class of 1976 will keep her in their thoughts and prayers, especially in our Memorial table  at our 50 year Reunion coming up.  Thoughts and prayers to the Chaloupka and Dragon families. ❤️

I worked with Joanne at Clarkson hospital before she and Matt were married and through their daughter's adoption and birth of their other children.

She was an excellent nurse and a lot of fun. I have fond memories of her loving to read and soak in a bathtub.

I worked with Joanne back in the “good old days” at Clarkson.  
She made work fun no matter how busy we were.  And she took such good care of her patients, treated them like family, always making them smile in her special way.
We also shared times outside of work (I especially remember several at the Recovery Room!) where she was always the life of the party.  She could make you laugh until you were crying.
I will never forget her.   She definitely left her mark on the world.

Joanne was a wonderful sister-n-law to me! I admired her very much especially her work-ethic, selflessness, her inappropriate sense of humor and most of all, her fun-loving personality. My boys adored her as well!!
Some of their favorite Joanne (aka. Miss Janice) memories include when she convinced them that she dated all of the Super Heros, her use of curse words to make them laugh and secretly tying their shoes together. Jo was a prankster! Our family has lost a wonderful member; one that will never be forgotten! I pray that you can rest peacefully, Joanne. I love you!

Joanne has been one of my dearest friends since 1979. The love & support she showed me meant the world to me.  To think I will never hear her voice & laughter again  is heart breaking. We had so many memorable times together & I will never forget them. I will love Joanne  forever.

Thanks, Joanne, for being a great sister.  You always loved being around the family when we had our  family functions or holidays. I worked with Joanne back in the good old Clarkson days in the 70s.  Oh my God, we had the most laughs and worked our butts off, but sure had fun doing it. When I came to work and saw she was working it made my day easier.  What a great person she was, and  a great nurse.  She was the kindest to her patients and always took care of them in a way which made them feel at ease and brought a smile to their face.

Matt and family, you really don't know me but Joanne and I did all eight grades at STM together. Even though those are long ago days, I still remember what a great class we had and how much fun we had! I saw Joanne off and on over the years and it was always such a pleasure to see her. I dont know that I ever saw her without a smile!
