John J. Spataro Age 92 He was a WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Preceded in death by parents; brothers and sisters; wife, Betty Jean and grandson, Mike. Survived by sons, John (Chris), Steve (Diana), Mike Spataro, Raymond (Shari), Leslie (Joyce), Frederick (Cindy) Graber; daughters, Carla Bowes, Wendy Hornstein, Patty (Tom) Eden; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews and longtime companion, Dee Klopp. Member of American Legion 439 and the MidAmerica Woodcarvers Association. He retired from Omaha Public Schools. VISITATION Monday, August 11, 2014 from 6-8pm and FUNERAL SERVICE Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11am with all services at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home.
