Julie Ann Lipscomb

June 24, 1967 – July 8, 2014 Elkhorn, NE. Preceded in death by father, William Lipscomb. Survived by mother, Helen Grierson and stepfather George Cramton of Omaha; children, Anna Rock, Matthew Jump and Kristen Jump; grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Alexis and Connor; Spouse of 25 years, Greg Jump; and sister, Lisa Grierson. Julie was born in Lexington KY to Bill and Helen Lipscomb, and grew up in Omaha. She graduated from North High School and continued her education at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing. She joined the Air Force as an officer, and served for 18 years, retiring with the rank of major. During that time, she was an ob-gyn nurse and received her master's degree in nursing management. After retiring from the Air Force, she and her family returned to Omaha where she continued working as a civilian nurse. Taking care of people was always her passion, and she found much joy in helping others. Her hobbies included astronomy, arts & crafts, and music. The lights of Julie's life were her children and grandchildren; she was a loving spouse and daughter, andfriend to many. Her very special pet dog, PIPPIE, passed before her at age 14.
